We have close links with all the artists featured on our website. The Artists benefit in three ways through our association.
An original painting order is an actual hand painted work, whether it's physically the same as thumbnail on our website or a commissioned re-work from the same artist.
Our prints are a high-definition reproduction using latest technologies and materials. The pictures have been expertly adjusted to match the qualities of the product material being printed on, whether it's softening out the backwash or adjusting the colour saturation in order to bring out its best qualities.
For original painting orders, if not in stock, we first of all contact the artist to see about availability and timescales for a commission. An original piece will usually take between 2 to 4 weeks for an Artist to produce. This is then posted securely to the UK where it will be mounted in a frame of your choice before being sent out. All in all this process can take between 3 to 6 weeks. If we already hold the original piece in stock then please allow between 7 to 10 working days for delivery.
Almost all our original paintings are made on hand made paper that’s usually prepared with thin layer of cow dung to act as a base for the paint. The paint also is hand made from natural material such as Vegetable dyes, black soot, carnation pollen and red clay. All the material used in the final piece is 100% natural and handmade. Two kinds of brushes are used - one for the tiny details made out of bamboo twigs and the other for filling in the space which is prepared from a small piece of cloth attached to a twig.
Your commissioned original painting will be hand painted by the Artist who’s produced the online picture. As each original is individually painted without any tracing aids or printing help, there will always be some variations in lines, colour and detail. It will also have watermarks and backwash which is not visible on the online view. However this will not be of a significant nature and as a final quality control we also check fidelity to the online picture before forwarding it on to you. The commissioned picture you receive will be as good as if not better than what you preview.
The picture you see on our website is a low resolution version just for our website use. The actual images used for prints are in a high definition format which captures the colour hues, tones and texture of the actual painting. We can guarantee a fidelity to the original that’s almost impossible to distinguish between original and print.
Our originals are painted using natural materials (see "What materials do the originals painting use?" above) and so do not offer any artificial protection against fading. Over time there may be some loss of colour vitality so, as with absolutely any print or paint, for maximum longevity it is best to avoid direct sunlight.
In all of our prints we use highly archival inks that in normal indoor lighting will remain fully vibrant for over 75 years but up to 200 years in ideal conditions. In addition for our canvas products our museum grade varnish blocks UV light to further extend their expected life. For maximum longevity it is still best to avoid direct sunlight, as with absolutely any print or paint.
Yes. It will often be easier for those who work to have large pictures delivered to their work address or to a neighbour as they are by courier delivering between 9am and 5.30pm and require a signature.
The length of time taken for delivery depends on whether a print or original piece has been ordered. For prints please allow 7-10 working days for delivery. For original works of art please allow 3 to 7 weeks.

Although you can only order those sizes online we are happy to help where we can with unique sizes upon request. Our printers are 110 cm wide so we cannot print wider than this and canvases have a maximum width of 1 metre, as does Perspex. Lengths are unlimited within reason. Frames can be wider than 110cm but the image within them cannot.
The varnish applied as standard makes them scuff and moisture resistant to a high degree. We would not recommend using detergents and only use a damp cloth if it has inadvertently become dirty or marked. The best way to clean it normally is occasionally with a very light brush or a feather duster. Although highly scratch resistant, avoid any harsh contact with nails or other hard items, pay particular care at the corners where it is easiest to catch the edge by mistake. All our canvases are kiln-dried or finger-jointed to make them highly anti-warp, but hanging them directly above a radiator or damp environments will increase the chance that they may warp (kitchens and bathrooms that are well ventilated should be no problem).
