Description

This is a new introduction to the Indian Textures range and has many of the benefits of the Pro-Canvas print but at an amazingly affordable price. A massive fall in the market price for printed canvases in the past year and the entry of more high street and supermarket sellers means the competition has tightened and we could not offer our previous canvas print, now our "Pro-Canvas", for any less than we were as it is already amazing value and an exceptional quality product. Without losing too many features and still remaining way above the competition for quality and service we have managed to match or beat their price point in this new offering. We can do this partly because we make ours entirely in house and we are not purely a re-seller. In many ways it also made sense to have this second offering because the Pro-Canvas is probably over the top in quality for many purposes and budgets (like the old saying you don't need a sledgehammer to crack a nut).

What you receive is still a fine art quality, long lasting print. By no means have we gone for the cheapest of everything in the materials or processes e.g. we still seal the prints which is an important conservation step frequently omitted elsewhere (particularly in shops that print canvases on the premises where the spraying process is impossible). We have several professional photographers who buy these for their customers already and are very happy with them.

We do not use cost-cutting gimmicks such as wood baton frames without tensioning pegs (as found in most supermarket canvases), MDF boxes, t-shirt transfer technologies (e.g. dye sublimation), paper stuck onto canvas, plastic lamination, etc. These things are often hyped as superior by others but although they sometimes have the odd practical advantage, the reality is they are just quicker and cheaper to produce and the results are more frequently disappointing or less durable overall. Some other canvases on the market will fade or go green within a year (we often get asked to reprint canvases from others that have done this).

There are several finishes your canvas prints from Indian Textures can have. They are very popular without a frame (aka "gallery wrap") with either printed or white sides.

We have also just introduced a great framing option for canvas which is very en vogue - a lavishly decorated and chunky gilt frame which we call "Old Master" due to its similarity to the frames you might see on classic oil paintings or portraits (think Henry VIII or Mona Lisa). It is both very stylish and fun to have your own pictures and portraits in this style - if you are looking for a talking point then this will be it. The great thing with our online preview is that you can see how your selected painting will look before you buy!

Please note that due to the luxurious quality of the frame, an Old Master canvas will always use our Pro-Canvas material and the stretcher bars will be the same for both (a shallower bar is needed to fit the frame). The only difference between normal and Pro-Canvas Old Masters is the sizes available.
